Death penalties have been of various kinds and electrocution on the electric chair have been the most heart-wrenching. It is becoming less and less popular because nowadays people think the execution of a criminal through lethal injection is a better and a more humane way. On the death chair, many said their last words which were very much creepy, strange and also sometimes bizarre. Read to know about the creepiest things ever said on the electrocution chair.
JAMES D FRENCH
James was executed in an electric chair on August 10th, 1966. He was first sent to prison in charge of killing a motorcyclist and then killed one of his cellmates as he wanted to get executed. His last words were “How’s this for a headline? French Fries!”. It was both creepy and witty.
ROBERT ALTON HARRIS
Robert Alton Harris was sentenced to death in charge of murdering two teenage boys in San Diego in 1978. His last words on the electric chair became very much famous and what he said was “You can be a king or a street sweeper, but everyone dances with the Grim Reaper.”
ROGER KEITH COLEMAN
Executed on May 20th, 1992 Roger had been successful in drawing a lot of attention as he claimed that he was innocent. However, pieces of evidence were found against him as his case was analyzed before and after his death. His last words were, “An innocent man is going to be murdered tonight. When my innocence is proven, I hope Americans will realize the injustice of the death penalty as all other civilized countries have.”

Robert Charles Comer had tried by all possible means to drop his appeals and get executed. His last words were very much unusual as he said “Go Raiders” an American football team known for their aggressive style on the field. Strange, eh?
DAVID MARTIN LONG
David Martin Long had been sentenced to death in charge of 5 murders in an eight year long period. He was arrested in 1986 and all he did was blaming the system for he had become. His last words on the electric chair were “I was raised by the California Youth Authority, I can’t really pin point where it started, what happened, but really believe that’s just the bottom line, what happened to me was in California. I was in their reformatory schools and penitentiary, but ah, they create monsters in there. That’s it, I have nothing else to say.”
JOHN ARTHUR SPENKELINK
Arthur’s execution was one of the most controversial execution because capital punishment was reinstalled in 1976, and John Arthur had been sentenced to death in 1979 for murdering three women, making his execution the first one in Florida. His last words were, “Capital punishment: them without the capital get the punishment.”
She had been held guilty for hiring a person to murder her husband and was executed by electric chair on August 9, 1934, at Sing Sing prison in New York. It is said that she kept singing Christian prayers and her last words were, “I don’t care what you do to me. I am not afraid to die. I have nothing on my conscience. I never killed anyone.”

Thomas J. Grasso had murdered an 85 year old by her own Christmas lights. As the prisoners in US have the right to chose their own meal, Thomas too, after being sentenced to death, chose his last meal to be cheeseburger from Burger King, steamed mussels, steamed clams, 6 barbecued spare ribs, a half of pumpkin pie, 2 strawberry milkshakes, and a big can of Spagettios with meatballs. However, he was very much unhappy and expressed it through his last words. The last thing he said was “I did not get my SpaghettiOs, I got spaghetti. I want the press to know this.” And the press did know about it.
Aileen was a serial killer and had killed seven men between 1989 to 1990. She was a sex worker and claimed that she killed them because they tried to rape her. She was sentenced to death and executed at Florida State Prison in 2002. Her last words were, “I’d just like to say I’m sailing with the rock, and I’ll be back like Independence Day, with Jesus, June 6th. Like the movie, big mother ship and all. I’ll be back.”
Ted is known to be one of the worst serial killer, rapist necrophiles, and pedophiles in the world. His number of murders were more than what he had confessed. He was executed on Raiford Prison in Florida on January 24, 1989. His last words were “I’d like you to give my love to my family and friends”. No big deal right? But according to psychiatrists, the guy had no feelings of love, empathy or remorse at the time when they examined him.
