Our personality is deeply determined by the experiences we went through in our childhood. Be it our financial conditions or our social situations. These things make us the way we are and leave behind certain quirks as a part of our personalities. These ten are particularly noticed universally amongst people who grew up in poor families!

FOOD WORRIES!

When people grow up in poor families, they are bound to treasure every meal that they get. As adults too some people have reported on Reddit that they save more food than required, or end up eating every little thing on their plate. Clearly food concerns are massive when it comes to people who have faced lack of meals in their growing years, so every given opportunity needs to be made the most of!

SELF TAUGHT!

You don't feel the need for house helps around the house. The reason is quite simple - as someone who grew up in a financially crunched situation, you value the expenses. You are taught to do your house work by yourself since otherwise it would mean a loss of money. These things become a part of your adult life as well and thus, you like to have full control of things around you and prefer to do it all by yourself!

HOARDING!

If you see someone hoarding things unnecessarily without any real need or desire, you should know that the person perhaps grew up without any of these resources. They were perhaps so deprived that they are unable to let go of things now, when it is the time!

SPEND TIME, NOT MONEY!

People who grew up poor choose things that are time consuming - public transport over private cabs, shopping online and waiting long enough for discounts, using credit card points to the maximum, worrying about minor price differences, taking a lot of time to commit to events that involve spending money etc. Since at some point in their life they have seen days that have involved less or no money at all, they believe this is something they can easily do. What they don't realize though is, their time is lost making these decisions!

SELF AID!

Doctor visits can get quite tricky and expensive, especially when the issues are minor by the bills are long. Since childhood, those who grew up in poor families, are used to self treatment - be it a cut or a burn. These "home remedies" are usually all good until things go south and a larger hospital bill is incurred!

TRUST IN MIRACLES!

Poor people always trust in miracles. Be it in lottery tickets or games that involve money as rewards. Poor people find thrill in these things and usually end up losing more than they intended to spend!
