"You only had one job": Reaction to failing to do the one and only task assigned to you. This is said to humans, animals, inanimate things, and anything else that fails to accomplish the simple purpose for which it was built in a disgusted, contemptuous, or angry tone. A method to indicate absolute failure, epic failure, especially when the task at hand was simple. We all make mistakes now and then, and it's nothing to be ashamed of. But when we are given tasks in which failing is simply not an option, we deserve the humiliation that comes with it.
