WiFis have pretty much become our life line. Slowly, the entire world was shifting to online work and he new WFH has just escalated the entire thing. Internet is pretty much a necessity now and not just a luxury. But a lot of times, connecting to free WiFi creates a problem in our systems. Here are few things you must remember before using a free WiFi!

Do Not Remember

Do not let your device remember the network. Now a lot of you may not agree with this but you must! Frauds could create their own access point with the same name and thus get access to your profile data if you come anywhere close to the wifi again! So for the sake of safety, forget the network.

Always have a good antivirus on whenever working on a new unknown free wifi. In case of any issues, things will just be controlled before they ruin your system.

Always check the URL of the website you open properly. Fake networks may just redirect you to popular websites. If you see any weird characters in a familiar website's URL, it most likely means that this website is not authentic.

Never forget to only use a safe connection. A safe connection is simple to identify: the URL starts with https:// instead of the usual http://. This is helpful!

Stay away from Internet banking if you are using an unknown Free WiFi. For all you know, your password may just be compromised!

Using a VPN allows you to stay anonymous while online: websites you enter will see the virtual network IP, not yours. So this option is relatively safe to be honest.
