North Korea is one of the most secretive countries in the world. We aren't even allowed to enter the country as regular tourists. There is so much about it that the world doesn't know! But if there is one thing that we know about North Korea, it is that the nation has very weird rules. Here are some extremely regular things you are allowed to do everywhere but North Korea.
International calls
Ever heard of a country where international calls are not allowed? Well, North Korea is one. In 2007, a factory boss was supposedly executed in front of a crowd of 150,000 people for making international calls on phones he’d installed in his factories. That is how serious it is.
Traveling Abroad
If international calls are ban and people are executed to do so, there is no way people will be allowed to travel abroad. Yes, a normal N. Korean citizen is not allowed to travel international!
Surfing Internet
No, there is no modern internet in the country. While there is access to the Internet, most citizens do not have authorization to just surf the net, and the limited world-facing sites are reserved for government officials and some foreigners. Here's a fun fact, the entire nation has no more than 1000 ip addresses.
Practicing Religion
Whether its good or bad is up for a debate but the matter of the fact remains that you aren't allowed to follow any religion in North Korea.
Wearing Blue Jeans
This maybe very surprising and super funny but in North Korea, you aren't allowed to wear blue jeans. Why you ask? Not all denim is totally off-limits; pants made from black denim get the State A-OK. It seems that blue denim just reeks of corrupt Western Imperialism, but the black version is somehow more politically pure.
Watching Televiision
Yes, this isn't allowed either. They cannot watch daily soaps just like you and me. If you’re in North Korea, you can enjoy the State-mandated propaganda … and that’s it. If you can’t take it, well, honestly better not risk it.
