There are some places in the world that not a single person is allowed to visit, except those taking care of it of course. It is highly protected and for security reasons, these places are off limits for general folks like us. To be honest, the things that lie within these places are really ridiculous and one would wonder why so much security for this!? But once you get to know the real truth, it all makes so much more sense!


Lets start with the bigwigs- USA! The US government has a lot of gold reserves that it keeps secured in a place called the Fort Knox Army Installation in Kentucky. Supposedly, it has Gold Vault of 22-ton blast-proof door, granite walls, and bombproof roof. Also, this US Army post is guarded by 30,000 soldiers and flotilla of attack helicopters. That's a looot of security and a hell lot of Gold for sure!


The world is changing rapidly and a lot of organisms are succumbing under the pressure of this change. To ensure that there is always food security for the world, there is a seed bank in the coldest place in the world - above the Arctic Circle between Norway and the North Pole. It preserves the largest collection of seeds to be used in case of an apocalyptic event or global catastrophe. Countries which have lent seeds are also not allowed to visit it. It is very much guarded.


Every major institution has secrets, but some just have too many of them. The Vatican has a secret archive filled with tons of books and journals. Called the Archivum Secretum Apostolicum Vaticanum, this library can only be accessed by distinguished and master scholars. It is said that the authorities fool us by saying that it contains letters of alien contacts, but in reality holds private letters and documents of people like Abraham Lincoln, historical records about the popes of the past four centuries.


National security is of utmost importance in today's world. USA has built itself a surveillance base in what is the Australian Earth station. This place is approximately 18 km(11 mi) south-west of the town of Alice Springs, Northern Territory in the center of Australia. This station is used for multiple security checks one of them is providing information or warnings of ballistic missile launches!

Called the Ilha da Queimada Grande, an island in Brazil is literally the abode of the 4000 of world's most venomous snakes. Every year in Spring, they host a 2 week encampment with some of the most important people in the world. Their motto is "Weaving Spiders Come Not Here" - which basically means people will leave their business attitudes and political / religious ideologies outside!
