Animals, specially the wild ones are never known to be human friends. In fact, they are expected to take away human lives if anything! But nature is beautiful and sometimes these animals only come to rescue humans. Here are 7 such incidents!
A Gorilla's Maternal Instinct
In Brookfield Zoo, a boy accidentally fell into the chambers of a Gorilla. needless to say, people around got petrified and expected the worst. Caring Binti Jua (A Gorilla) gently carried the child to a safe place to protect him from the other gorillas. This one clearly proved that her maternal instincts weren't only limited to her own cub!
Tsunami Elephant
Tsunami in 2004 will go down as one of the worst natural disaster in the history. Along with India and Sri lanka, another country that was effected by this disaster was Thailand. That morning everything seemed great for Amber Owen. She was there on vacation. One morning she was riding Ning Nong the Elephant. At some point, the elephant started moving back from the sea. The girl noticed a huge wave approaching. She was shocked and very scared while Ning Nong ran as far away as possible from the deadly sea. The best thing is that he took the little girl to a safe place where she could climb down and reunite with her family.
9/11 Heroes
If Tsunami was the worst natural disaster, 9/11 was the worst man made disaster! About 100 dogs were involved in the search-and-rescue. Due to their exceptional sense of smell, a huge number of people were rescued from the rubble of the World Trade Center. A salute to these dogs!
A whale saved a snorkeler from a shark
Nan Hauser was extremely close of a fatal incident if not for this Whale. She felt a 50,000-pound humpback whale nudging her during a dive, she was confused, as that’s not typical behavior for a whale. Upon looking around, Hauser noticed a 15-foot tiger shark lurking in the distance. Now that could've gone either ways if this Whale hadn't nudged!
Horse saves farmer from vicious cow attack
Say what you may but cow attacks can be super dangerous. In fact, Cows take away four times more human lives as sharks do every year. When a Scottish farmer Fiona Boyd was suddenly attacked by a mother cow who thought she was hurting her calf, Boyd's horse Kerry stepped in and kicked the attacking cow, allowing Boyd enough time to roll to safety. Wow!
Rabbit saves man from diabetic coma
It may sound weird but it is as true as it can get! U.K. resident Simon Steggall went into a diabetic coma while sitting at home watching TV with his wife. Wife thought he just when to sleep. The animal knew something was seriously wrong and jumped onto her owner’s chest and began thumping furiously and licking his face. This caught attention of the wife who in time to crucial steps to save her husband!
