Flying is no more regarded a luxury but has become a necessity for many. Saving time has become as important as earning money and hence comes the planes! they save you a lot of time in travel which by the way is super useful. But there are some secrets that authorities don't want you to know!
An Axe!
Do you know there is always an Axe in cockpit? Why you ask? Because an axe is a piece of emergency equipment and must be stored in the cockpit. An ax can help contain a fire, open a stuck door, or even hack a new one
An auxiliary power unit
Whenever you board a plane, you always here this random sound even though the engine is not working, right? It is caused by an APU that provides power for the systems while the engines are out. It also starts the engines.
Resting Compartment for Crew
Not all but there are some airplanes that have a resting compartment for their crew as well. These compartments aren't super comfortable, you can only crawl in there, but you can lie down for a while and rest. These are generally in long distance flights!
AC System
You are in the air so how on earth is that AC system working? It's actually being bled from a compressor stage of each engine turbine. Do not worry, this air is as clean as it can get and very safe to breathe!
A Cooper vane
So there is a story behind this one. This device appeared on aircraft after an unsolved crime perpetrated by some Dan Cooper: he hijacked a passenger airplane, received a ransom, and escaped with a parachute. So what does this vane do? It makes sure that the Airplane door doesn't open midair!
Never Locked!
So here's the deal your bathroom door is never completely locked. It can be opened from outside! Its great if you have a child stuck inside but not so great if you are doing something else! Ummmm, so maybe do not use the toilet?
