Beauty is ageless. Especially for someone like Karen Grassle who featured in the popular television series from back in 1970's - The Little House On The Prairie. Back then when television was just starting out, Grassle was a dream on the screen!

This 1974 television series is what we can call an ideal "Netflix Binge" and if you have caught a fleeting glimpse or better, actually watched this series, you'd know what we mean. The Little House on the Prairie was a sensation for all the good reasons - great story, acting, direction and the themes!

The series was based on Laura Ingalls Wilder’s best-selling children’s books and followed the life of the Ingalls family living in 1800's Walnut Grove, Minnesota.
Karen Grassle played the mom of the family, or Ma as she’s known to fans around the world, and became an American treasure who at 78 years old today is still acting.
HER ROLE IN THE SERIES
Karen Grassle played Quiner Ingalls, the most iconic moms on American Television. However, after her stint, she took a break and almost seemed to "disappear"
A while later she returned to Broadway, a passion that grew during her college years in London where she studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
HER ACTING CAREER!
During College, she acted on stage. When she was about 32 years old, she landed the most iconic role in American Television history. The show ended in 1983, but Karen quit in 1982 and from there on the producers decided to work with just the Ingalls children. Eventually, the show was cancelled!
LIFE POST THE SHOW!
Once she quit she went back to stage, and eventually opened her own theatre company. After performing in stage classics such as “Cabaret” and “Driving Miss Daisy”, she returned to our screens in 1994 in the movie Wyatt Earp, starring Kevin Costner.
SHE IS YET ACTING!
This year, the sensational actress turned 78. But as they say - age is just a number with artists! Grassle yet continues to act on stage and in a number of on screen productions. Can't wait to see what she does in her future years. This woman is truly an inspiration!
