You must have definitely heard or read the news of Iceland government offering to pay foreign men if they marry the Women in their country? How true do you think are these reports? Let's take a look!

The Report

Recently, a lot of online portals were covering a very fascinating story. The story claimed that Iceland Government is offering money to people for marrying their women. The news first came out in the year 2016.

The Response

If reports are to be believed, as soon as this story broke out, the Icelandic embassy was flooded with messages from men who wanted to marry a girl from Iceland.

People from all around the world specially Northern parts of Africa showed special interest in lapping up this offer.

Was It?

As a matter of fact, the applications that they received were in huge numbers and it was very difficult for the government to process them. So does this mean the the reports of Iceland government willing to pay foreigners to marry their women was true?



The Reality

As the offer came out in public, some people started doubting the report for the simple fact that it contained many grammatical errors. Turns out, their concerns were right.

The offer was first published by a North African blog called “The Spirit Whisperers.” This blog is known for spreading viral hoaxes and this was nothing but another hoax.

The fact that it was a fake news broke a lot of hearts. I mean, who wouldn't wanna marry a beautiful Icelandic woman? We don't even care about the money here.
