Recycling is the need of the hour. Think about it - we create waste that usually just stays on earth - does not decompose, does not disintegrate just forms a toxic layer over earth and stays there. If you have not yet started recycling, looking at these ten images may just change your mind!

OIL SPILL!

This image of a seagull hopelessly stuck in a lake which has oil spilled all over it is so sad that it is going to make you cry. More than anything else our animal lives are the ones sadly affected. This one was perhaps just looking for its food but it came too close and met its sad fate!

SURFING!

Imagine you went out to surf in the sea and in the waves came a ton of plastic wrappers, bottles, residue, sitcky substances etc. These things do not disintegrate but it is still our general habit to carry all this crap to the beaches and worse, leave it behind. These things end up into the sea and pollute it. Even after a ton of waste that affects the sea, some of it is spat back into land and this image is a shocking reflection to our actions!

This poor stork was perhaps just going around its business until a plastic cover came flying by and it got stuck inside the polythene. For what fault of its own? Single use plastics are the worst enemy of animal and human life.

RIVER BLEEDS!

The river Yangtse is one of the worst polluted water bodies in the world. Located in China, a country best known for its unabashed and uncontrollable need for development, the Yangtse stands at uncontrollably high pollution levels. So much so that it has been called the bleeding river due to the amount of effluents let into it each day!

ELECTRONIC WASTE!

Third world problems are always way more intense than the first world ones. Imagine a place full of electronic wastes that are never going to be used or disposed. It just becomes a landfill and imagine the amount of degradation that happens if you keep pushing things under the ground!

BURN OUT!

The world is growing at a faster pace than imaginable and so are its demands. One such major demand is for oil and petroleum. These come from a few countries and their deep seas. However, sometimes phenomenon like these occur. This is a blast at a rig and this usually happens due to intense pressure. This is not going to be uncommon, especially with a world that is seeming so greedy!

THE SEA SPITS IT BACK!

Oceans are ferocious and it is never easy for people to find out when and how its going to react. In fact, the sea is like that patient person who you have used as a punching bag for a long time. It will take in how much it can and then one day, it will throw everything back at you in a darker, dirtier way. So be watchful of what you mess with!

SMOG!

Beijing is known for having the worst air conditions ever. Why? Because in its desperate need for industrial growth, China has absolutely forgotten the fact that nature is feeble and bad things lead to over pressure and pollutions!

BLAME IT ON RELIGION!

Religion has been used to justify a lot of humans bad deeds one of them is pollution. In Asian countries like India, Nepal, Bangladesh etc. some customs involve people throwing religious wastes into the water bodies. These are usually flowers, sometimes even plastic wrappers of stuff used during the events. This stays on the surface of the water bodies, clogging and choking life in water!

TURTLE STUCK!

This image is so painful. This little turtle was perhaps doing nothing but minding his own business in water but turns out he got in the way of mans greedy ways and got stuck within a plastic band. This is the end of the turtle -how selfish can we be?
