What do you think of wood art? With simple chisels and carves, it is amazing what some artists achieve with a humble block of wood. These artists have taken the art form to a whole different level though!

HORSE GALLOPING AROUND!

Have you ever seen horses gallop around fields? These majestic beings seem so regal at all times, isn't it? Well they certainly are one of the most majestic domesticated beings and when someone creates identical sculptures of this beautiful animal, one cannot help but stare in disbelief. For a moment there, we actually thought it was real!



REEL LIFE HUMAN BEING!

This human bust is not just super close to an actual, real person, but also so intense. The expressions, the headband, the collar bones - everything reeks of perfection. The white lime wash over the sculpture makes it seem like a deeper, social commentary. It is amazing what great art can do!

GIRL IN A YELLOW TANK TOP!

This girl in a yellow tank top is unassuming, playing with the ends of her braid. She seems to have just gotten out of the water since her head is still damn and so is her braid. The pensive, straight faced look is so on point that even her cheek bones have tightened. On a hindsight, if you were to see this sculpture in the passing, wouldn't you think it is a real life girl?



THE WORLD'S LONGEST SCULPTURE!

Chinese Artist Zheng Chunhui took a dead tree and transformed its trunk into the World's longest sculpture. His feat was even featured in the Guinness World Records in 2013 for the same reason. The carving is based on the famous painting Along the River During the Qingming Festival (1085-1145). Featuring the daily life of people, the landscapes of the city, social life etc. it was indeed a masterpiece!
