Luck is a funny thing and while you may or may not be thoroughly superstitious, there would be a couple of things that spark your interest in this department. Take for instance lucky signs. While the modern world may call it a redundant system, lets face it, most of the world's richest people believe in signs from nature. Everything from ceremonies to business meetings is decided based on these signs. What happens when you only get back signs from nature though? If you thought this sort of things do not exist, think again! These nine people are the world's unluckiest human beings and here is why!

This is a Once In A Million incident but still super unlucky. In 1954, Ann Hodges was having a quiet nap at home in Alabama, USA when a huge meteor dashes through her roof and hit her. It left a big black bruise in her abdominal area and made her the only know person to be hit by an extraterrestrial object. What are the odds for this!?

Robert Todd Lincoln was the son of U.S president Abraham Lincoln and is perhaps the unluckiest man in America. He stood by 3 US Presidents as they got assassinated and still walked away scott free. His first was his own father, Abraham Lincoln when John Wilkes Booth shot the President. In 1881, Lincoln became the Secretary of War under the newly inaugurated James A. Garfield. Before the duo left by train, the President was shot by a guy called Charles Guiteau. But the trivia doesn't end here. He was also around when the President William McKinley was shot. He was also around when

What would you do if you vacation turned out to be a nightmare? And instead of relaxing you found yourself in the middle of a terrorism situation!? Well Jason and Jerry Lawrence, an English couple, went through precisely that for 3 OF THEIR VACATIONS. Can you believe it?

There were in New York when the 9/11 blast happened. They were also in London in 2005, exactly during the underground suicide attacks. What's worse? They were also in Mumbai during the 2008 Taj Attacks. Sad as it may sound, we really wish they stopped vacationing all together!

She has practically suffered through literally every single thing in life. She was beaten, mugged, was in the midst of a terrorist attack, a ship sinking, struck by lightening twice, attacked by a bat, etc. The list is long. In an interview she famously said, "Dying doesn’t scare me, but living scares the crap out of me"

This guy Costis Mitsotakis was so unlucky in life. Everyone in his village in Spain participated in regular lottery contests. In 2012, this 250 people village participated for a huge prize of $950 million dollars. This was a big deal, because it meant everyone in the village would get a whopping $130,000. However, Mitsotakis was left away from the list and just watched everyone else win their monies!

Roy Sullivan is a legend and he has been also called a mystical man since he was struck 7 times by lightening and still survived. He has also made it to the Guinness Book of World Records. But this is not where it gets worse. He shot himself on his head in 1983. What a way to die!

This guy must be a super human!

He legit escaped death some 7 times. The first time was when he was traveling by train from Sarajevo to Dubrovnik. Train smashed into ice river killing all 17 passengers, but this guy Frane Selak escaped unharmed. The very next year, he was traveling by plane - the door gave way mid flight and while 19 others died instantly, this fellow escaped and landed on a haystack! In 1970, he survived a car fire, In 1996, he met with an accident, landed on a tree and saw this precious car go up in flames.

These are just few of the incidents however, you can see his as a lucky survivor or just a really unlucky accident prone person!

Tsutomu Yamaguchi was present during both the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. He used to work in Heavy industries and the city was bombed at 8:15 am on August 6th 1945. After surviving the atomic bomb with only a few scratches on his body, he returned to his hometown Nagasaki. The day he reached, America dropped the second bomb!

This is sheer fate - While the world would be split between calling him lucky and unlucky, we think he really makes it to the former part of the cut!

Violet Jessop was onboard 3 sinking ships. She was onboard RMS Titanic in 1912 and HMHS Britannic in 1916 and watched it sink, but yet swam to safety. She was also onboard RMS Olympic when it collided with a British warship in 1911. While she survived, she saw a lot of lives pass away in front of her eyes. So while she could be termed lucky by many, she is also unlucky for witnessing so many deaths. She later died a natural death in 1971!
