Australia is home to around 72 million sheep. You see this one on your screen? It's Chris and when it was found, it could barely walk. The estimated 5 years’ worth of growth gave 40.45 kg of fleece and set the world record for the heaviest fleece ever taken from one sheep.

Pythons

If you are petrified of pythons or do not like the idea of having them in your backyard, Australia is not a place for you! Experts believe that in some states in Australia, nearly 80% of houses have a python living on the roof or in the backyard, which is actually not a bad thing since they keep mice and rats away.

Gavel

Meet Gavel! After reading his story, yo will instantly fall in love with him. He was supposed to become a police dog but failed his exams for being too friendly. Well, this story has a very happy ending. He finally found a dream job! Gavel is now named Queensland’s first official Vice-Regal Dog and works at the Government House. His duty is to greet visitors and just be happy. HAHAHAHAAHAHA Wow!

Queens Birthday!

Understand that the Queen of England is also the Styled Queen of Australia. So, people in Australia celebrate queens birthday every year. The funny thing though is that every state celebrates the birthday in a different month.

Queensland in October, Western Australia in September, and other states in June. Queens actual birthday is in April but since there are too many holidays in that month, Australians decided that it'll e better to have an off in some other month!

A pink lake

Pink Lake is one of the most beautiful tourist destination in Australia and is stunning. Researchers are still not 100% certain about what causes its “strawberry milkshake” color, but they believe it’s likely bacteria, not microalgae. Never the less, it is extremely pretty!
