However famous you get, you need to remember to keep your feet firm on the ground. Turns out, a lot of people actually forget this way often and end up losing out on great opportunities. Take for instance these actors who lost out on meaty roles because of their own issues!

SYLVESTER STALLONE!

Stallone may be a lot of our favorite, but that still doesn't make him right in front of Patrick Hughes, the director of The Expendables 3. Turns out Rocky and his idea of fight - action - drama isn't really what the director had in mind for the action drama. So the series continued, pretty much without Stallone in the scene!

CHARLIE SHEEN!

He has created a lot of issues for a lot of people and while his basic personality may be questionable, there is no denying that he is indeed super popular. Born Carlos Irwin Estévez, Charlie Sheen, had quite a run with the hit TV Series Two and a Half Men. But he took it a tad too southwards when he called producer Chuck Lorre names. He was let go after a warning, but that didn't change things in his stride and he was soon let go!

MEGAN FOX!

Megan Fox is a gorgeous model-actress in America and has been around for quite sometime now. Due to her popularity, she was soon noticed by Michael Bay, the director. Turns out she was working on the Transformers movie series with the director and allegedly said that "Bay was like Hitler" during an interview. Turns out, this doesn't go down well with Bay or anyone for that matter and she was asked to leave the sets immediately.

JUDY GARLAND!

Judy Garland was a well known face in Hollywood long time ago. Of the most memorable performances she has delivered, The Wizard of Oz tops the charts. Turns out, Garland suffered behind the camera though. She was a victim of substance abuse and would often find herself using. Her addiction was so bad that she would appear on the movie set totally wasted. As a result, she got kicked out of the movie production of Valley of the Dolls.

TERRANCE HOWARD!

Terrance Howard may be a talented actor and singer but he needs to take a chill. He got popular after just a few films and this played its charm on movie producers, not necessarily top movie directors. And so he found himself a gig on the movie series of Iron Man. While the original Iron Man blew up at the box office, he was still offered following roles. But he had a price tag now that was not appreciated by the producers and his general disregard for the movie irked the directors. So off he went out of the now so popular franchise. 6.

CHLOE GRACE MORTEZ!

With roles in films like 500 Days of Summer and Diary of a Wimpy kid, Chloe Grace Mortez had quite a run with success. This was until she signed the Disney movie Bolt. This was unfortunate, but she was kicked out because of Miley Cyrus. Obviously she had no idea that Cyrus was to play the role and neither did people in charge inform her of the same. Turns out, Mortez carried the hatchet for long after this ordeal!

ANNETTE BENING!

Annette Bening began her career in late 80's and has been quite popular due to her choice of roles and her stunning personality. She stared in great movies like The Grifters, and was also cast as Catwoman in the Batman Returns series. However, she got pregnant during the shoot and was let go from the production. She was replaced by Michelle Pfeiffer.

LEONARDO DICAPRIO

A lot has been said about Leonardo Dicaprio's luck in terms of recognition and films. Turns out, there is a solid reason for these rumors. He was originally cast for the role of Patrick Bateman in the movie American Psycho. Turns out, Christian Bale with his years of experience and a soft corner with cinematic giant Steven Spielberg, Bale soon replaced Dicaprio in the movie!

RYAN GOSLING!

This La La Land actor was not always in a real life La-La-Land. He may have won awards and bagged quite a bunch of great films, but he has had his tough moments. Especially with Peter Jackson. Jackson was making the movie The Lovely Bones where the director had a certain idea of what the main character would look like. And in order to embody the role of a 210-pound man in his early 40s, Gosling had to look the part. Needless to say, he didn't and it resulted in him losing the job!

ANNE HATHWAY!

This woman is so talented that you would find it hard to know that she has indeed lost out on some pretty cool gigs because of herself. This 35-year old actress was offered a movie called Knocked Up. However, there was an integral yet graphic birth scene that she outright said NO to. She wasn't a mother yet and she said, she didn't want to "pretend to be okay with it" Producer Judd Apatow obviously felt differently about it and fired her!
