The world is indeed filled with all the craziest things you can ever think of! In the world of mobile phones and internet, we see things that are just the promotion of stupidity with the little bit of creativity. But, it is not just our generation that is facing such bizarre weirdness. Our ancestors had the same dilemma when they used to follow things that seemed completely normal to them but were actually daunting. Thank goodness, we don’t follow the same!

Human Zoo

This is the most shameful part of our history. It is not just a circus where people line up to entertain you. But actually kids from Africa and Asia to show a proof of Darwin’s theory.

This shameful entertainment means had lasted for many years.

The picture was taken in 1958 at a Belgian human zoo.

Sending Kids Through The Mail

Why would anyone think this was a good idea? You don't even think of letting your children alone and our ancestors actually sent their children via mail. This was normal those days!

Around the beginning of the 20th century, Americans had the option to send kids through the mail.

When you only think about it. It creeps the hell outta you but when you see the picture it actually portrays that they have been carried well...

People send kids through the mail for the cost of 15 cents!

Cocaine Treatment

When people were unaware that Cocaine is harmful people didn’t treat cocaine as harmful substance around 100 years ago. People could easily buy cocaine in drugstores and without a prescription.

Cocaine was used to heal a toothache and coughs.

This is unbelievable and also very shocking!

Radioactive Toys

There was a time when smoking was actually considered healthy and even recommended by Doctors. Radiation wasn't even inferred and so they had no idea that it was the life-threatening emission of energy.

Atomic toys were easily bought as the mini-laboratory in the picture below.

Toys like these included real uranium and polonium in small quantities.

Smoking to get rid of constipation

Warning signs and creepy images are all over the cigarettes boxes these days because now we know that they are harmful to our body.

Since 70 years ago smoking wasn’t considered harmful. Cigarette companies had the freedom to advertise cigarettes on TV, newspapers, and billboards without any risk. The weirdest thing is that doctors were recommending pregnant to smoke in order to get rid of constipation.

Outdoor Baby Cage

Because your baby needs fresh air and for that they an outdoor baby cage. These cages were a normal thing among British families in the 1930s.

It seems weird how, while mothers were busy with household duties, their babies were locked in a cage so they could breathe fresh air.
