Korea has been divided not just by land and political ideologies but also by a lot of minor things that one would not even imagine. Be it traveling around, speaking or even ideologies - The differences between these two countries of practically the same language, same history will really surprise you!

CLASSROOMS!

Every child deserves to learn right? Well in Korea, education systems are quite strong but between the two countries, there is a massive difference in classroom ethics, style of teaching and content too. Take for instance something basic as online learning. North Korea bans internet so obviously there is no concept of learning on screen in North Korea. They are in 2020 but still old school - literally!



YOUTH

The youth is the future of our world but this is not true in every country. Take for instance North Korea. While in South Korea the youth take a strong stance, have opinions and are respected for the same, in North Korea everything is the opposite. The dictator is the only person who is supposed to have an opinion in North Korea. So even the youth live a suppressed life!

CAR PARKING

South Korea has a lot of technology and is progressive with automobiles and gadgets. Almost everyone owns a vehicle while the case in North Korea is completely different. If you see these images you'd know what we mean - South Korea parking lot is so full of cars where as in North a commercial space does not even have half of the number. One main reason for this is because in North Korea it is way too expensive to buy a vehicle. Instead people ride bicycles!



ROAD

Speaking of cars, lets come to the condition of roads. While in South Korea - be it a city or a small town, it will have proper street lights, signal posts, activity and people. In North Korea the case is way different. The roads are deserted and go for miles without any signs or signals!

BEACH LIFE

Beaches in South Korea are full of fun and attract both adults and children alike but that is not the case with North Korea. It has a lot of strict rules about public decorum and thus perhaps you can only see little kids at the beach and not adults!



BUS STAND

South Korean bus stands are fun, modern spaces - there are advertisements, posters and people are usually casual and converse easily. Unlike in North Korea where people live by rules and are way too serious. Take for instance their bus stands -plain and simple too!

TRAINS

People use the most popular mode of transport - trains for commuting to work and for leisure in both the countries. However, there is a ban on speaking in the trains in North Korea. Everyone has to maintain decorum and silence. Thats not the case in South Korea where trains are great places to socialize. Trains are also way more spacious and comfortable in South Korea!
